Save Your Precious Pictures and other Important Files

48F/gray/calm/ This is a good end of the year buy and project you might want to consider to back up your precious pix, videos, and other important files.
Here is my easystore external hard drive. It was on sale at $96 from Best Buy. No, this is not an ad for them . It holds 5 TB of data. You can pay less for smaller units or more for larger. Works for Windows or Mac. You can probably find similar units wherever electronics are sold.
Just plug it into the USB port. That's it, done. Start moving files off your laptop or use as a back up safe place. I have stuff saved to Google Drive and the Cloud, but this is something I can hold and am in control of. I consider it insurance for my data.
If God forbid there was a fire, storm, flood, or other emergency, I know I can grab this little unit and have all our pix, family history, yah dah,yah day, yah dah. It will plug into any computer if your own is lost, stolen, dies, or unavailable.

It is even an convenient way to take your stuff to share with family and friends or gather pix etc from them. As long as someone has a computer available, you are good to go.
It is satisfying to know I can check off this job off my ToDo List, and it was easy and affordable. How about you? Are your files safe?
