Biscuits and Gravy Casserole
Biscuits and Gravy Casserole...Nice for Brunch or Supper
Preheat oven 350F. Grease or spray a 9x13 pan, I use a glass one.
Brown a pound of ground sausage and drain.
Open a can of the big size refrigerator biscuits. Cut each one into eighths.
Place cut biscuits into pan and top with sausage crumbles.
Add a layer of shredded cheese.
Whisk together 6 eggs, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 t salt, and a good shake of pepper.
Pour egg and milk mixture over the biscuits, sausage, and cheese.
Make up a package of sausage gravy or biscuit gravy or country gravy. Use whatever you like, or you can make your own gravy from the sausage drippings. You need to have 2 cups of gravy to pour over the top of the rest of the ingredients. Pour on gravy.
Bake uncovered. Original recipe said 35-40 minutes. Mine usually is good at 30 minutes. It all depends on size of eggs, humidity, and how your oven bakes. I would start looking at 25 minutes and watch it from there. You want the biscuits baked and the eggs cooked. Enjoy!
